Blade of stainless steel 440C. Illustrated with a scene of the Ancient Greek mythology, representing Dionysus the god of wine, fruitfulness, parties, festivals, madness, chaos, drunkenness, vegetation and ecstasy. He is portrayed as effeminate, long-haired youth with his wand thyrsus, grape vine and a crown of ivy. A tiger as one of sacred Dionysus animals is depicted on the background. Additional decoration with engraved typical ancient Greek ornaments on both sides of the blade.
The handle is made of birch burl, with one finger groove. Brass made and the gilded guard and pommel with decorative ball ending. Ornamental adornment.
