    MANUFACTURING PROCESS:

This precision-engineered knife is built to last, combining high-end materials with advanced engineering for optimal performance.

    – Blade: Crafted from Bohler M398 powder stainless steel, the blade has a thickness of 3.2 mm (0.1260″) and is hardened to 62-63 HRC. The heat treatment includes deep cryogenic processing with liquid nitrogen, enhancing durability and edge retention. Blade finish is a shiny stonewash, offering a sleek appearance and added resistance to wear.

    – Handle: The handle, inlay, backspacer, clip, and lock are all made from Titanium Grade 5, known for its strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. The backspacer has a satin finish, while the inlay features a distinct pattern.

    – Bearings: The knife is equipped with a ceramic ball-bearing system engineered by Herman. This updated design includes tungsten carbide washers in the bearings, with a hardness of 1700 HV (~90 HRC), providing enhanced longevity. The ceramic detent ball and tungsten carbide on the lockbar ensure smooth operation.

    – Pivot: A custom TORX T20 pivot, fully produced by Herman Knives, features a larger diameter and smaller pitch, facilitating easier adjustment. This pivot comes with a dedicated stainless steel screwdriver designed specifically for this model.

    – Packaging: The knife comes in a new, original box, which includes a cloth and Pruciak Protector Glide for Herman oil.

The “Ishtar” series from Herman Knives blends Persian-inspired design with advanced modern technology. Each knife in the collection reflects elements of traditional Persian blades while incorporating contemporary engineering. This fusion is evident in the precise craftsmanship and balanced construction.

The ergonomic handles offer comfort and a secure grip, enhanced by the use of high-performance materials.

The “Ishtar” series transcends functional tools, merging practicality with refined elegance. Designed for both everyday use and demanding tasks, these knives deliver performance alongside striking aesthetics. The series embodies excellence, seamlessly integrating ancient influences with modern innovation.
