Each figure from the set is an incredibly complex and stunningly beautiful composition of colors, materials and the sculptor’s flight of fancy. Special manufacturing techniques give these chess a unique spirit and a sense of aristocracy.
Handmade Porcelain chess set is made in the European style of the 16th century and is an illustration of the battle between Stefan Batory and Ivan the Terrible near Polotsk. The portrait similarity of the figures is provided by historical research in archives and open sources. The siege of the fortress of Polotsk in 1579 is one of the key events of the final stage of the Livonian War. Chess pieces are bright, each with its own character, on average, have a height of 16 to 21 cm. Handmade porcelain chess pieces are hand-painted and gilded. Board folding, made of oak, walnut and maple.
Porcelain chess and board are packed in designer cardboard boxes.
