Handle. Brass made and then gilded guard and pommel with decorative engravings. Ebony wood grip.
The scabbard is all metal forged, brass made and then gilded with suspension ring and tip. Decoration on one side with portray of Franklin Roosevelt, surrounded with engraved solemn wreath. A roundel with the coat of arms of the United States and inscriptions of the name of Franklin Roosevelt above and USA down. Decoration resembling a leather pattern on the opposite side.
