The TSPROF Pioneer 2026 is the most compact and lightweight guided sharpening system in the TSPROF range. At 3.1 lb / 1.4 kg, it provides controlled-angle sharpening without the size and weight of a full workshop system. Its working range accommodates blades from 1.2 to 9.9 in / 30 to 250 mm, including pocket knives, kitchen knives, outdoor knives, compact fixed blades, and multitool blades.
The main components are manufactured from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and protected by a matte black anodized finish. The coating improves resistance to corrosion, routine workshop wear, and minor surface damage while requiring little maintenance.
A rotating clamping mechanism allows the user to work on both sides of the cutting edge while maintaining the selected sharpening geometry. Two universal clamps secure blades up to 0.20 in / 5 mm thick and 1.6 in / 40 mm wide. The modular mounting layout also supports selected clamps and accessories from the TSPROF Kadet and K03 platforms.
The 2026 version introduces the upgraded Glide hinge unit. A brass bushing supports smooth guide-rod movement with reduced friction and play. The rod can be placed into its parking position between sharpening passes, where it remains supported by the hinge geometry and its own weight.
Sharpening angle can be set from 12° to 26° per side. This range covers low-angle slicing edges, practical EDC bevels, and more durable working edges. The abrasive holder accepts flat-ended and Apex-format stones from 0.4 to 6.3 in / 10 to 160 mm long and from 0.12 to 0.59 in / 3 to 15 mm thick. Its spring-loaded stop allows faster abrasive changes, while the stroke limiter helps prevent the stone from running beyond the blade.
The wooden ball handle provides a comfortable grip and direct control over abrasive movement. When storage space is limited, the clamping arm can be removed and the body folded into a compact format.
Five diamond-coated plates provide a complete sharpening progression from F150 roughing through F1000 finishing. A G-clamp is included for securing the system to a work surface, while the base configuration can also be adapted to compatible TSPROF stands.
