• Folding base – a 0.9 kg (1.9 lb) aluminium platform that plants the sharpener on any countertop; no C-clamp required.
• Rack-and-pinion height adjuster – micro-dial your bevel from 12° to 26° per side (up to 33° when maxed out).
• Stone thickness compensator – swap thin naturals or thick diamonds without losing your angle.
• Extended guide rod – sharpen chef’s knives and camp blades up to 250 mm without over-travel.

Pioneer Plus is laid out so intuitively that first-time users are making clean, even bevels within a few minutes:

• Universal clamps lock onto folders, kitchen gyutos, EDC multitools—anything up to 5 mm spine thickness.
• Flip-over carriage keeps both sides of the blade at the exact same angle; just turn the handle and continue.
• Quick-change stone holder accepts flat-end or mounted abrasives from 10 mm to 160 mm long; a spring stop makes swaps instant.
• Stroke limiter with soft bumper stops the rod before it slips past the tip.

A polished wooden ball grip and a parking cradle give your hand a comfortable, controlled feel while letting you rest the rod when flipping or inspecting the edge. When the session’s done, the frame slides off and the body folds flat for drawer storage.
