This Unique Wooden Chess Set is a single-copy handmade set with chess figures carved from solid Karelian birch and a Karelian birch chessboard. The natural figure of the wood gives the set a warm, refined appearance, while the contrasting playing field keeps the board clear and readable for play or display.
The board measures 18.31 × 18.31 × 3.35 in / 465 × 465 × 85 mm, with 1.26 × 1.26 in / 32 × 32 mm playing squares. Fretwork-shaped wavy sidelines give the chest-style board a more decorative profile, while the dark mahogany squares add clear visual definition.
Built-in storage drawers keep the pieces organized inside the board. A multilayer varnish and hand-polished finish complete the presentation. The set includes a veneer storage case, certificate of authenticity, white cotton gloves, and protective packaging.
